This past year has been one where the sights and sounds of many different places have tickled and inspired me to no end!

Lots of travel, means lots of first-time experience for me. Though visiting family and friends (and making new friends), was the main highlight of the year – there were all kinds of explorations and adventures to be had.

I visited Seattle, WA, then Vancouver, BC, Canada, then back to Alaska. Christmas in Ontario, Canada with my grandchildren was wonderfully heartwarming! They grow up so fast.

I had a grand New Years Eve Fireworks party on our frozen pond in Alaska. The weather was perfect that night and we had a huge bonfire as well.

Next was gorgeous Bucerias, MX for a couple of months. While there, I met and performed a few songs at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival with a brilliant guitar player from Washington, Geoff Wilkes. What a talent! It was so much fun, I could have sung all night!

After a beautiful summer in Alaska, which included a very successful One-Woman Cabaret-style performance for a fundraiser benefitting Fairbanks Breast Cancer Detection Center, I was able to visit with my friends in Las Vegas for a month. Whew! What a month it was!

Victorian Ladies of the Railroad

A couple of high points for me were, joining the Victorian Railroad Ladies (a charitable group supporting children’s education) for a luncheon, and photo shoot at Lake Las Vegas, and the other was sitting in to sing with my friends, the Vegas Good Fellas.

I have been living in Alaska for the past couple of years, enjoying the natural beauty everywhere. Yes, it is more than a bit chilly. especially compared to the desert of Nevada – but makes for a beautiful scenic backdrop for my Christmas music photographic video. ALL ABOARD! Yes, I went on a fabulous 10 day cruise through the Panama Canal with my husband, Garth. It was on the ms Zuiderdam with Holland America. We got off the ship at almost all ports and took in all the sights.

We left Ft. Lauderdale and went to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, then Oranjestad, Aruba. then Willemstad (Curacao) Antilles, then through the fascinating Panama Canal, then heading back we stopped at Lima, Costa Rica.

Besides seeing the 6 different ports of call in one trip, we were invited to a private cocktail hour and then dinner with Captain Christopher Turner. What an honor that was! I also had the pleasure of sitting in and singing one night with the Hal Cats, the cruise ship band. Overall, it was one of the best travel experiences of my life!
